Checklist

Please ensure that you read the Scholarship Guidelines prior to commencing your application. [Please note the Terms & Conditions outlined on pages 6, 7 and 8]. 

Individuals can only make one scholarship application per funding round. Parents/guardians can make multiple applications provided each application is for a separate child.

Checklist

Please ensure you include all the information and documentation in the list below where requested in application form. If the required information is not provided correctly when the application is submitted, the application will be considered ineligible and will not proceed to the assessment phase.

  • Personal statement (500 words max)
  • Evidence of merit, leadership qualities, community/business capabilities or requirement for special assistance.
  • Letter(s) of support from an independent member of the community.
  • Evidence to show a permanent address in, or have relocated to study from, within the local area of the MWF project.
  • Details of any funding received from other programs towards you chosen education path, e.g. scholarship or bursary.

Please note applicants must:

  • Be and Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status.
  • Applications must have a permanent address in, or have relocated for study, within the local area of the MWF project. Preference will be given to areas within the 10km radius of the windfarm, and any funding that may be available, may be used for areas outside this demarcation line.
  • Be commencing or continuing their studies within 12 months of grant award.

Please note eligible courses may be:

  • Provided by an Eligible Provider, either a registered training organisation (RTO) registered with the Australian Skills Quality authority (ASQA) (check at www.training.gov.au ) or a higher education provider registered with the Tertiary Education quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) (check at www.teqsa.gov.au/national-register ).
  • Be for a maximum of six years.
  • Either remote or face-to-face learning but must be undertaken in Australia with the exception of exchange experiences.
  • Full or part time.
